We are seeking 5 dedicated volunteers to capture the key learnings and take aways from this year’s OASIS Annual Conference Bridging Possibilities. Navigating Change. In Windsor, Ontario from April 24 – 26, 2024.
As a Volunteer Conference Writer, you would be responsible for attending and summarizing three sets of breakout sessions and two “full group” plenary sessions and Keynote Speakers. (Each set of three Breakout Sessions has either 4 or 5 Break Out Sessions each).
Your write-ups will provide insights, key takeaways, and highlights from each session.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and actively participate in all assigned breakout sessions and plenary sessions.
- Write comprehensive descriptions and key takeaways for each of the three sets of breakout sessions (800 words each).
- Write comprehensive descriptions and key takeaways for the two full delegate plenary sessions, capturing key moments and insights (300 – 500 words each).
- Ensure all written material is finalized and delivered to OASIS by Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Qualifications:
- Preferred status for volunteers will be given to those from small member organizations (i.e., those with an annual budget of $5M and below).
- Volunteers should possess excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail and ability to convey complex ideas concisely.
- Enthusiasm for learning and engaging with diverse topics discussed at the conference.
- Previous experience in summarized presentations, lectures etc. is a plus, but not required.
Compensation:
- For successful volunteers, OASIS will provide coverage of 100% of your conference fee as well as one night of accommodation during the conference dates.
