Information On 2024 Pre-Budget Submission Consultations
Public Consultations for the 2024 Budget have now closed!
There are a number of options to either submit a Pre-Budget Submission or make a public presentation.
Ministry of Finance:
You can share your views with the Ministry of Finance by
- Taking their survey;
- Sending a written submission either electronically or physically through the mail; or
- Attending an in-person consultation.

The Standing Committee On Finance and Economic Affairs:
The Ontario Legislature’s Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs has begun its forthcoming consultations.
These consultations are taking place across the province.
The schedule is listed below, as well as the deadline dates to request to appear before the committee.
Public hearings are taking place in:
- Brockville on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, (request deadline – 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 15, 2024)
- Downtown Ottawa on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, (request deadline – 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 15, 2024)
- Cornwall on Thursday, January 25, 2024, (request deadline – 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 15, 2024)
- Moosonee on Monday, January 29, 2024, (request deadline – 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 22, 2024)
- Sudbury on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, (request deadline – 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 22, 2024)
- Thunder Bay on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, (request deadline – 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 22, 2024)
- Dryden on Thursday, February 1, 2024 (request deadline – 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 22, 2024)
Individuals can request to appear – the Pre-Budget consultations are the first option that can be chosen, and written materials can also be submitted through this portal.
Written submissions will also be accepted until February 1st
