A few things have resonated with me today, the discussion around the words “entitlement” and “agencies”; using “growing” not “sustaining” and remarks about its “OK to push back with the Ministry”. I feel somewhat validated after today.

After a hard day of small and plenary group work, I think we have an excellent start on a position for OASIS that includes a Vision, principles, gaps and most important, actions that will take us forward.

The Board will also be reviewing our Mission with the information we have gleaned today.

With great appreciation for all the discussions today and always with the acknowledgement that we need to put the person first, we must keep in mind that as an organization, OASIS exists to provide leadership and the support of a strong, viable and professional sector.
