Following the 2025 Ontario Election, we want to thank everyone who participated and helped raise critical issues affecting our agencies, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families. Your involvement ensured that our sector received much more media attention than usual during the election.

Thank you to everyone who wrote to local candidates, engaged in local campaigns, organised or joined debates, and used the templates from the OASIS and Community Living Ontario #WaitingtoBelong Tool Kits—especially the media release templates.

And most of all, thank you to those who got out to vote.

Now, with the election behind us, we encourage you to use our new Template Letter—co-developed by OASIS and Community Living Ontario as part of the next steps of #WaitingtoBelong—to reach out, engage with, and congratulate your newly elected MPP.

By staying connected with your provincial representative, you help ensure that our concerns continue to be heard by all elected officials.

OASIS and Community Living Ontario remain committed to working with Ontario’s newly re-elected government to improve and expand supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the agencies that serve them. As we move forward, we will continue to provide tools like this to help you raise your voice and amplify the sector’s issues and priorities at the local level.
