Description

Founded in 1954, Community Living Central York is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides support to people who have an intellectual disability. The Association employs over 200 full and part time staff, who are committed to providing opportunities to people to achieve their personal goals, facilitate relationships, enhance skill development and build social roles
within their community.

POSITION: MANAGER –Group Living Program
Full Time
REPORTING TO: Director of Services and Community Partnerships

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Manage the day to day operations of the Group Living Program
 Supervise a team and maintain clear, consistent expectations
surrounding performance management, including discipline
 Participate in the interviewing and hiring of staff
 Work with people supported and families
 Monitor the provision and quality of services
 Plan and implement future long and short term goals for the department
 Manage department budget, petty cash, payroll, scheduling
 Ensure that the philosophy, mission vision, goals and objectives of the
Association are communicated and evident in all activities
 Participate in training and development initiatives
 Involvement with other community agencies
 Regular use of software programs including but not limited to: Microsoft Office,
Internal Database, Google+, Scheduling Software etc…
 Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:  University degree or Community College diploma in Social Services or equivalent work related experience  Minimum of 3-5 years Supervisory or Management experience  Demonstrated facilitation and advocacy skills  Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector, preferably working with adults who have an intellectual disability  Good understanding of Personal Outcome Measures & Social Role Valorization  Good understanding of the Developmental Services Act and Legislative requirements  Demonstrated track record in team building and mentoring  Ability to take initiative and work independently  Excellent crisis management skills/conflict resolution/problem solving  Strong organizational and interpersonal skills  Current First Aid, CPR and Non-violent Crisis Intervention certificates  Proficiency with Computers  Valid driver’s licence and availability of insured, safe and reliable vehicle  Satisfactory Vulnerable sector screening HOURS: 37.5 hours a week with flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required and participate in on-call rotation RESUMES TO: Interested applicants should submit a resume and covering letter to: Tara Watt, Director of Human Resources by April 5, 2019 E-Mail: tara.watt@clnad.com Please indicate job title in subject line We thank all applicants in advance and advise that only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted.
