Brian Young

Brian Young is currently the president of OASIS (Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special needs) a position that he was elected to in May 2008. Over his six year involvement with OASIS Mr. Young held the positions of Director and Vice-President.

Mr. Young’s strong commitment to the developmental services sector has been cultivated through years of voluntary commitment. Through his additional involvement on boards and committees, such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Canada, Simcoe Community Services, leadership in his local church and a number of Human Resources Associations Brian has developed strong leadership skills in board governance and volunteer commitment.

Mr. Young is also passionate about helping not-for profit organizations run themselves as good businesses without losing site of the people they are designed to support. Many of these organizations have benefited from his professional Human Resources expertise – often at no charge.

Brian, his wife for over 33 years, Lynda and their two sons have made the Barrie area their home since 1984. In his free time Brian can be found either cooking for groups of friends or photographing landscapes and architecture.
