The manager will provide leadership to residential and community participation services and supports. The incumbent manages two residential homes supporting 11 people, community participation service serving 50 individuals, a creative living home for 3 people that is owned in partnership with the families and 20 supported independent living people. The incumbent leads a team of highly motivated staff that is comprised of 3 distinct teams with 2 residential Lead Hands, 5 counsellors and 45 support workers.
The incumbent ensures that all individuals supported by the association have comprehensive support plans and, if appropriate, also have a person-directed plan. The incumbent ensures that services and supports are high quality, meet the highest professional standards and are delivered within a person-centered methodology that respect the dignity and rights of the people for whom we work. The manager develops and supervises the implementation of annual operational plans and ensures the achievement of operational goals and objectives for their service unit.
- Develops Service Unit operational plans
- Develops and manages a budget of $2,000,000 annually
- Leads and directs a staff team of 40 to 50 employees
Is a member of the senior management team that provides strategic direction for the association
•A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience
•5 to 8 years experience in the field
•Clinical experience is an asset but not required
•An excellent understanding of community inclusion philosophy and practical experience in implementing support and services to achieve this goal
